NV are 12 times Best Design Awards finalists!

August 2017

NV has been announced as a record 12 times Finalist in the Best Design Awards 2017. Run by Designers Institute of New Zealand, these annual awards showcase excellence across the design spectrum, including interactive design & user experience. They are New Zealand’s premier award within the creative community.

We are thrilled to have received 12 finalists, across 8 projects and 6 categories.  You can see all our finalists here:

Recognised projects include a large scale digital installation exposing Auckland War Memorial Museum’s extensive medals collection en masse, a cross platform app reimagined the Fire & Emergency NZ (formerly the NZ Fire Service) first responder experience (delivered in partnership with Intergen) and CloudCreator, the culmination of a deep 2 year partnership with Spark-owned Revera to reimagine the provisioning & management of cloud services across both private & public clouds.

We were also recognised for all of our much loved arts festival partnerships this year: NZ Fringe Festival, Christchurch Arts Festival and World Buskers Festival.  We absolutely love this aspect of our work & the chance to give back to the creative community.

Both the Fire & Emergency project and our flexible cloud based Festivals Platform were also recognised on the global stage earlier this year in the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Awards, demonstrating a perfect combination of form and function.

Rounding out our 2017 results were the reimagined FootrotFlats.com and a large scale website for the critically important but often overlooked Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment.

We are particularly proud to have 3 projects recognised in the new User Experience Design category – NV secured almost 30% of all finalists!  UX is at the very core of what we do & it is incredibly gratifying to be recognised at this level for so many important projects.

And we’re hungry for more challenges! We’d love to talk to you if you have an exciting new project coming up...
